Two Important HOT TOPICS added Welcome to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Iowa Chapter Website Thank you for visiting the AMTA Iowa Chapter website. As President of the Iowa Chapter, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our chapter. We are a small but mighty chapter of the AMTA. At over 625 members we are proud of our accomplishments and reputation as a top notch volunteer organization. I am hopeful you find this site a valuable resource and an informative way to stay up to date with the important issues facing Iowa massage therapists. Be sure to check out our "Conventions" section of this site. We are very proud of our reputation for bringing cutting edge educational events to our state every March and September as part of our AMTA Iowa Chapter Conventions. I hope you will join us! The AMTA Goals
To serve its members, the public, and profession, the AMTA pursues the following goals:
* To establish massage therapy as integral to the maintenance of good health.
* To promote high standards in providing massage therapy to the public.
* To increase access to quality massage therapy for all persons.
* To be an influential member of the health care community.
* To be a leader and resource for issues in the field of massage thearpy including definition, practice and education standards, legislation and regulations.
* To enhance the professional development and personal growth of members.
* To continue AMTA's growth, development, organizational effectiveness and visibility.
* In pursuit of the above goals, AMTA will be guided by the value of competency and care.
